A Little fir grew in the midst of the wood
Contented and happy, as young trees should.
'I'm going to be late back after school this afternoon,' Sam said to her mom as she was gathering her cases for school. 'We've been asked to go to the hall to try out our costumes for Saturday night.'
'That's fine,' her mom replied. 'I'm probably going to be late in myself, as I have to pick Billy up from playgroup, and they're also finalising their play.'
'Cool. Matt and I'll walk back together - that ok?' Sam asked.
'Sure,' her mom responded.
'Oh, are you coming on Saturday? I need to tell them, as they're having this party afterwards,' Sam asked. 'Please come.'
'I'm sure we'll all come. Dad has been mentioning that he wants to come too, so we'll bring Billy along. He'll enjoy it.'
'Great,' Sam replied. 'See you later, I'd better run.'
